** The manufacturer of KeraStraight reformulated its original solution in late-2010 in response to public health advisories issued in the European Union. The company launched its new formula, KeraStraight KS Complex, in January 2011. It is advertised as “a 100% Formaldehyde and Aldehyde free keratin smoothing treatment which has been independently certified by Intertek.”
