Maura Walsh Named EWG Vice President of Digital Strategy

EWG is pleased to announce that Maura E. Walsh has joined our growing team as vice president of digital strategy. Walsh, a highly-regarded digital communications leader, brings more than fifteen years experience in direct email marketing, content marketing, fundraising and advocacy.

“Maura’s experience building strategic and integrated campaigns across digital platforms will enable us to expand our already considerable online capabilities,” said EWG President Ken Cook. “We are thrilled to have such an accomplished leader join our team and put her unique skill set and vision for EWG’s campaigns to work for our continued success.”

Walsh comes to EWG from Anne Lewis Strategies, where she worked with clients such as the United Service Organizations, The Clinton Foundation, The Chesapeake Bay Foundation and WETA to design record-setting online marketing and fundraising programs. She also is responsible for developing best-of-breed strategies that are now widely used by non-profit and political organizations to drive their fundraising and advocacy, including the contribution up-sell. During her tenure, she helped clients raise more than $240 million dollars online and convert millions of activists across a wide-spectrum of causes.

In this newly created position, Walsh will direct all digital strategies including online media, search engine marketing, mobile marketing, mobile applications and website design and development.

“Maura has been an innovator throughout her career. She brings a tremendous wealth of experience to EWG,” said Jocelyn Lyle, vice president of development. “She will lead our existing all-star team with her expertise in  designing pioneering programs that have garnered groundbreaking results for the field. We couldn’t be happier to have her join our organization.”

Walsh’s past experience includes jobs with APCO Worldwide, a public affairs and public relations company, and Bigfoot Interactive – now Epsilon Interactive – where she managed direct email campaigns for the company’s top accounts.
